Details

There is inevitably conflict in leadership. But more often than not conflict is simply a lack of effective strategies for meeting the needs of the other. Non-Violent Communication theory supposes that all human behavior stems from attempts to meet universal human needs, and that these needs are never in conflict; rather, conflict arises when strategies for meeting these needs clash.

In this session, participants will learn the OFNR model for communication. Observations, feelings, needs, requests. They will practice using this skill to express what’s alive in then and identify what is alive in their partner. They will then learn how to teach these skill to their direct reports to create a team or community of people that are able to feel connected through effective communication.

Facilitator:

Propel is partnering with Mike Posner to run this workshop. He is the Head of Sales at a med tech startup called Candid. He's also a sales and leadership consultant, an executive coach, and runs 3-5 day intensive leadership retreats for technology founders. His background before sales was in clinical psychology, where he led therapy groups in various settings. This all means that he's run a lot of workshops, trainings, and group sessions and will be sharing with you the strategies that he's learned along the way.
